First fill up!

I'm new to the Northeast, and one of the exciting new experiences is oil heat. Heating oil comes from refining crude oil, just like gasoline does, and so it costs about the same amount per gallon as gasoline, which is at near-record highs. Multiply $3 per gallon by a 200+ gallon tank, and you're talking a lot of money. We just got our tank filled, and you can see the result.

All of which is to say that we're keeping the thermostat way down.

Oh, and I learned that the guy who delivered the oil had an ancestor who came over on the Mayflower - now that's a New England experience.
